I hear that more than half of Afghanistan's businesses paid crony fees to Afghan government officials last year. This sounds very familiar and rings true for Orange County, California. I wonder how high up the cronyism goes in the Orange County coroners office?

Right wing conservatives call for no relief for Haiti. They argue that money sent to Haiti hurts the Unitede States economy. I say bull shit. Money sent to Haiti comes back home as Haiti buys needed food, shelter, and tons of equipment to build a decent infrastructure.

Just thinking out loud, look at generators, wheel barrows, shovels, and heavy equipment Haiti needs to buy to rebuild. The United States has the stuff to make Haiti a model for rebuilding efforts.

We need to remember that Haiti represents the first county on earth to free itself of slavery the hard way: slaves fighting and erning their own freedom by fighting for it.

Under President Reagan the economy changed enormously. The banks got cheap money from the fed and loaned it out at 20 % and more. What about crime scene cleanup in this context?

As president of the United States Obama needs to have the stature to stand up for the United State's citizens as well as the world's needy. Jimmy Carter did it right, made important decisions, and the ascendency of concern over the federal deficit.

Obam's efforts government continue to suffer at the hands of right-wing propaganda. The right-wing's intentions are to stop progress resulting from better government. They would rather hurt the United States than see a black man lead the United States' population to a better, safer, healthier life. Only in office for one year, he deserves the support of everybody in the United States.

Millions of people hope to see health care for all, and the right-wing cannot stand to see health care for all. They are hateful, simply put.

We can have a better health care system for all without insurance companies milking tax payers' money.

Roosevelt called for a social contract to develop a second Bill of Rights.

Now we've taken the Social Darwinian approach since Reagan. The Republican Party's hollow propaganda continues to support lies. Like "We have the best health care system."

The abililty of the United States to increase the standard of living since the Civil War no longer continues. Real wages stopped rising in 1989. There is an alternative to a rising pay packet. The alternative is public spending for those things people can enjoy together.

Note that Arizona now sells its state parks. Where does this go? How does privatizing state parks help people?

Look at climate change. The world's population understands that it's happening. In the United State's this one issue receives utter contempt from right-wing media and the working class in general. Meanwhile global warming, ice melting, and global dimming continue at an accellerating pace.

Galluping anti-intellectualism grows with dumbing down of the media.

What we need are affective ways to communicate to the lowest common denominator in a manner to empower people to think there way through right-wing propaganda.

Politics and communication in the hands of Murdoch becomes an anger manipulating tool rather than an enlightening tool.

The truth is a moving target and we must find our truth throught the cloud of corporate propaganda.

We must ask, "How do we overcome the power of repetition."

In the communications process, if you want to develop a feeling rather than thought, ask answers.

The Poles of The Earth

What does it mean that every single glacier on Earth is receding?

The Antarctic has ice as thick as 10,000 feet. Ice shelf is the size of Rhode Island. Ice shelves are breaking up and huge amounts of ice are floating around.

None of this has a place in human history. Sea ice is warming under these glaciers and as a result the glaciers are heating up.

The Siberian tundra are melting and release methane as they do. Driving across the tundra was measured in days, but now its measured in months. As a result methane is released.

Worse case scenario. Sea levels rise, bread baskets of world falter. Loss of mountain glaciers; ice free Arctic Ocean in summer. Greenland and west Antarctica to lose ice in 100 years. That's about 20 feet of sea rise.

The big Kahn is AntaRctica Its ice means about a 200 foot rise in sea level.

The Next Ten Years

Thinking back ten and twenty years brings the startling speed of technological change. Then there's global warming's poorly charted progress. It's "poorly charted" because the rate of global warming is much faster than thought twenty years ago.

Global warming's progress amounts to criminal behavior by the previous and current generations. Crime scene cleanup in this context takes on monumental proportions.

This past decade was the hottest since we started tracking Earth's temperature.

World Without Ice

What would it be like to live in a world without ice? Henry Pollack

Ice plays a big role in the global climate system.

Less ice means less sunshine gets reflected back into space. So the Earth heats up more.

It's the Earth's best thermometer.

Glacier's provide water to many people. The running off of glacial water means the seas will rise; people will be displaced causing conflicts over population movement and crowding.
